    Welcome Mark. I am originally from the Berkshires myself. I often think Mactan would be my 2nd choice of where to live in the PI but I have only been to Cebu a few times so I may be hitting you up for info.

    In my neck of the wilderness, jelly has no seeds, jam (AKA preserves) has seeds.

    Jam is made with fruit while jelly is made with NO fruit in it, just the juice and a whole lot of sugar!

    Hi mark, Im jay also from boston area, i currently live in hawaiii for the last year. where are you living there? APT? I have a girlfriend in suragau and am thinking of moving to dumaguete to better learn her culture and see what happens... Im also 50 and am thinking of moving there. so what can you share with me? BTTW im actually from natick, but lived on the cape the last 20 years thanks
