4k a day? Are you kidding me? That's a lot of money to spend in one day. You have to know the fare rates and look for simple but decent places to stay. Spending 2k a day on yourself would be nice.

Hi project, Rhoody's last post had some merit.
You sound a bit like me, not being needy for luxurious accomodation.
When i was planning my 1st trip to the Phillippines, i told my prospective wife to find me the cheapest Hotel in Marilao.
She asked if i was the Kuripot (scrooge).
Then i told her i had no desire to waste money on unescesary luxury and would be quite happy to sleep in a cardboard box in the street, if it was practicable (she got angry back then and again just now lol).
You dont have to stay in "Hotels", you can use lodging houses etc.
On both my visits to Mabinay, we stayed at Honey's Lodge.
We had a very spartan, en suite, air con, room for 500PHP/day.
It was perfectly sufficent for sleeping.
4k/day can easily be enough, if you are a Spartan like me

The first thing u have to do weather its here or Thailand ( Ive lived in both) is get out of vacation mode.
If u live a domesticated life style its a lot less expensive. Think of monthly expenses instead of daily. there a many days Im not out spending any money. I fix meals at home, I don't drink or smoke so I don't have that expense either.

    4000 x 30 is 120,000 a month thats a little over $2,800. a month. sounds like plenty to me.

    What about out of town?

But extra weight to carry and of value to "lose" as he travels to the rest of his destinations.

    Cabin Space!

 And of course, it will not be part of your Baggage allowance:smile:
BUT! Then, you are on your way now, TOO late, I guess!
