The only other thing that gets me here is the resident psychologists who tell me I am unhappy and should go back home. I assure I have been here longer, have spent much more time amongst the locals, and am most likely much happier here than you will ever be.

So you've been here nearly 5 years but just found this forum.

Forgive me if I don't read every post from newbies and tourists giving advice about living here. I really don't believe what they tell me any more! Seems they always come here and tell us how it is here.

could you name one major mall in cebu that allows the minder mafia in its carpark,as does robinsons in dumaguete.
these guys arent interested in your big smile, they want your money. keep smiling and not paying and you will return to flat tires one day
maybe you wont be so polite then

Yes i can... Must be a problem with Robinsons. By Fuente roundabout you had the motorbike mafia there until people complained. Not about them but the walkway was obstructed. But they seems to creep back. Down town at the Metro malls, they are there. They even hassle you if you need a taxi. But again just ave them off ith a smile. Country mall you need a receipt or you will be charged there but thats by the guards. SM and Ayala are fine. So to anyone needing adive or doesnt have P5 use SM and Ayala

PS how long do you have to live here to know how it works. Then i can aim for your grand stature shadow... Maybe i should cancel my perminent residency, sell my companies and go back to being a tourist. What a load of complete arrogant rubbish. Get over yourself.

Im simply offering advice that works for me, people can take it or leave it, no big deal. Remember one thing if you find yourself feeling bitter try to find that old youthful smile you had years ago  Peace out

    I pay 200 pesos a day , I can afford that.
A new moterbike is aroud 60.000 in your axample 300 days of rent
I come about 60 till 70 days a year in dumaguete so I think you are a bit wrong.
On the other hand, i dont have to take care about a moterbike when I am gone.
For me this is an eaysy and cheap way to travel around in the area.
Even when I have to pay some peso for the boys at Lee Plaza and Robinson.

    Greetings J.diver
