Mt. Talinis was highlighted today by a crystal clear blue sky and cotton ball clouds. This is the highest peak in Negros Oriental at 1864 meters.

Should like to hike there once, Mark.
But surely that will take a while now, asking my ribs
Nice blue and green your picture.
I went up some times as far as my 4x4 could bring me :D
    The temperature is fantastic there.

We take the road from the National Highway at Lipayo (Dauin) to the mountains until Magsaysay where the road ends for a car.
One of may previous workers (he is here near our place a caretaker for his sisters' house) comes from Magsaysay.
I can ask him if he ever went/climbed up from there.

Tonight while walking in Bacong a great sunset developed. This pic shows the Rizal Statue in the foreground and Mt. Talinis in the background. I loved the colors....

OMW, i asked the guy here who comes from Magsaysay.
He (early thirty) has gone some times to the Mount Talines.
Walking/hiking from his barangay it take for HIM 2 hours to reach Mt. Talinis, but he said that for un unknown/less experience hiker it will take 4 hours and another 3 hours back to Magsaysay.
He said that you will pass 4 lakes on the way to the top.
If you want a guide you can get one in Magsaysay.
Will cost you around 200 Php according to him.
