You have a point there. We should not just advertise everywhere such as in mass circulated publications as our "fame" will quickly spread, producing undesirable results and getting undesirable people to settle in our place. We should focus our media campaign in publications read by people who have the brains. :D

I hope people concerned have learned about this.

Nice to hear for this island province in particular to get noticed, chin up . I hope this will serve as encouragement or a challenge for govt og NEGOR to work hard for this province to live up to its newly acquired ' ego boosting ' better reputation, not just left on those pages but in reality sadly infested with thieves that (will take no notice even ur vehicle is park just beside a busy restaurant wil take chance whatever they could get ), mobile phone snatchers,bodol-bodols or con men ,and those guys that wear balaclava (sp?) that shoots people and students, crimes unresolve ,with PNP CHIEF THAT MAKES TRUCE WITH GANGS OF DUMAGUETE shiii***...police gone /going girlie or gay , crazy ,and unbelievable,i can continue on and on . Lucky I haven't posted yet my face in this forum just in case anyone gets serious humps on me,danger.

What is paradise to some is hell to others, or on the other hand, I really don't think many U.S citizens will pull up stakes and move to the Dmgte area. The ugly american (or Australian, German, Englishman to be fair) types seem to revulse those expats that are here now, but who can say who can come and who has entitlement? The word of mouth is more powerful than any one simplistic magazine article. Watch the Bvld, see who is here, draw your conclusions from that, or go to dunkin donuts, McDonalds, observe the types, listen to the conversations. Everything changes in time, there is no stasis, every movement, trend, has a half life. Meaning what was yesterday is not now, and what is now is not yet tomorrow.
So the thinking that one level or wave of expats to a foreign soil can or should have say on others of the same ilk emmigrating mystifies me. Or that all change, progress is bad. It has no qualitative aspect, it is in fact a matter of judgement, and perspective.

Maybe counter to a previous suggestion, we should all behave very badly scaring away all those other ones.

    There is always Bayawan...
