Some days not on the forum (X-mas preparations !!) so I could not react to your question Cool43.
I'm glad to read that you found your place to stay.
Malatapay Beach Resort (just 1 km from my place) is indeed difficult to contact.
I wonder why people with a business like resorts do often not have a proper communication network.
It's like having a car but not buying gasoline or diesel.

 

So i do, maybe we think long term and people there think day by day. A filipino friend told me, "Oh you European, you plan everything". But yes in a business there must be a working communication network but i think it depends from a person to another. When i contacted a Resort in Siquijor, within 24 hours i got a reply to my email and the deal was done within 36 hours.
Anyway, hope you had a nice Christmas. I hosted my family here. We enjoyed some good times here.

Try the Casa Demonteverde. Reasonably cheap. I'm not sure if cooking facilities are available but it would be worth asking.

Hi Cool...if you havn't found an accommodation yet, the cottage in Sibulan is still available.. and if you like riding the jeepneys a tricycle or your own motorbike, that's the best place for you...if you're still interested please email me so I can book you in...manaiahills@slingshot.co.nz ASAP..
