I was once a gym enthusiast back in the day when Supreme Bodies was still around. It had the lowest monthly rate but no aircon (you sweat out more without one) and just fair facilities. It seems like one has to pay a high price to get fit nowadays. Php 1000 monthly is obviously not for the lower income group.

I say that is wrong, in that it's less efficient use of time. I do weights first, because you get your metabolism ramped up doing the weights so when you get on your preferred cardio machine, you begin burning fat almost immediately. If you start off cold with cardio, your first 15 mins or so are used to get your metabolism up to good fat burning levels. I also do not believe in stretching before lifting, only after. The last thing you do before leaving the gym should be stretching IMO. Do a couple of light sets with the weights, then get into your working sets. I read an article years ago, that explained weights, then cardio, then stretching, probably in Ironman, because when I was into reading the mags it was the only with workouts geared toward non juicing bodybuilders. It made sense to me, so I started doing it that way after that. It could have been something Mike Mentzer said, because when it came to lifting routines, and anything related, Mentzer was god to me. My favorite bodybuilder ever. He was too devoted to Ayn Rand books though, but that's another matter.
I guess if one does just light weights and high reps, it matters less when you do it relative to your cardio. If one is just doing light weights, high reps, it is much less intense, for me anyway. I would consider that playing, not seriously lifting. YMMV.

I'd say those are all excellent suggestions. Nothing wrong with any of that advice.
When I was living in Thailand, I met and visited with Juliette Bergmann and her partner and trainer, Jim Lensveld. Juliette is 52 now, but still trains and looks to be in excellent shape. Anyway, Jim advised my friend and me to lift in the evening, because you better utilize the food consumed earlier in the day. You won't feel your strongest, he said, if you lift early in the morning.

As for the different day idea, my GF does that. She boxes one day, then lifts the other day. For just the reasons you stated. Overall I think it's the best idea for people who have time to make more trips to the gym.

Many guys stay too long at any one given trip to the gym and way more people who do not progress strength wise, are IMO overtraining, not undertraining. When I was in my 20s, I'd stay 2-3 hours in the gym lifting at a time. That was plain dumb. Now at 56, I never stay more than 1 hr when lifting.
