⌛ New member looking for information

Sotxrex I have an acquantance here in Florida who unfortunately recently lost his leg in a MC accident, woman texting no less. His wife is from Davao and he was going back next month for a long visit but his prosethetics have been delayed a few months and he is currently wheelchair bound. He has been to the PI several times, even lived there a few years and he would never go there in a wheelchair. Hope that is not too discouraging but that is just the fact of his situation and maybe yours is different. Hope I have been honest and fair.

 

Sotxrex, I have a friend from Cebu phillippines and his been coming back and forth from philippines to states for almost 10 years and he is in a wheelchair and he travel alone. He came and visit us here in kansas and now his back in the philippines 2 weeks ago.

First of all, thank you for the very honest assessment. I really do appreciate that and can understand that perspective completely. Being wheelchair-bound certainly gives you a different view of life....pardon the pun.

My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair frequently, although not always, and we have to tote oxygen around with us everywhere we go. We have been living in Metro Manila since July and are relocating to Dumaguete by May. Yes, we have managed to get around even with his needs, so I am sure you will have no problems since it sounds like you haven't let it get in your way one bit!! I hope you fall in love with Dumaguete as I did when we visited a couple of months ago.....I am definitely not in love with Manila!! The smog here in Manila is literally killing my husband, and I despise the traffic and all the people.....when I got to Dumaguete it was, pardon the pun, a breath of fresh air!!
