    Im a native from dumaguete hope thiscan help

    Where would be your location in Dumaguete?
    It would be best if you could check on local residents on the area where you are planning to build a nipa hut(Guest House) they can surely help you in your Construction..

    Best to use the Bambo type we call "GUOD" its a sturdy and solid type bamboo..
    And to make it free from Bok-bok best to use Sea treated bamboos, baboos soaked in sea water for a period of time...

    And last the one in Hypermart are a bit expensive

    I have no Idea about Bamboo but recall to hear about the sea-treated thingy. Anyway I actually just wanted to welcome you to DI, and thank you for the valuable info :smile:
