    good day to all, newt, alimokoy and sweetangel(ka tsda sa handle name)

    sweet, i guess if you think it was 5 decades ago you heard that NORECO had their last upgrade then i dont where were you in last 4 years?, heheheh, they had the additional substation, 1 in siaton, to handle southern load, 1 in bagacay to handle valencia and some parts of dumaguete and an upgrade on existing substation in pulangtubig in a span ug two years, quite impressive as it seems.

    the only thing i can tell you guys is this, their is no rocket science to fix immediately this "GRUESOME" problem, you know why? because of politics and corruption.

    I agree with you India-One...politics and corruption are hindrances of the development of any projects. We dont want to tolerate it and let us be more vigilant to seek for our rights as their customers.

    i'd like to share my 1 centimo,

    i'll start by asking this, if NORECO want to take a loan(in millions with out interest, hihihihi, millions so that kickbacks and commission is big, plenty of us will be sharing,hihihiih)? how will you justify that?

    very hard to justify with out on going scenario,,,

    answer? create scenario, show to the people that your doin upgrades but still not enough, tell the people that some relay censors have trip-off because so an so, suggest to the politician (on cohort with NORECO, heheh)that we need more money to buy and upgrade so an so, do maintenance or schedule brownout, unscheduled brownout, let the consumer shout and get mad on the effiency of NORECO service untill such time whole negros scream, then it becomes easy to justify, WE NEED A BIG LOAN! government says APPROVE because the people have shouted.

    when loan comes, NORECO say, OK lets buy all the needed stuff(but substandard and insik made, so that we got big kickback and income,hehehe)

    what happens next in few years time?

    my short story,hehehehhe

    Power Supply Problem !

    Hello Kababayan;
    Concerning the Dumaguete Brownout/Blackout Problem, lots of possible reasons starting from aged infrastructure to power transmission problem and it will cost tons of money to really fixed it.They only easy thing to do is to maintain what is already there and what the residence has already accustom to.

    yes kababayan. Up-grading of the infrastructure is a need of a huge budget, but I think NORECO already gain the ROI of the existing infrastructure in duma right now. If they don’t have the budget for the upgrade of the existing infra Then they should borrow money anywhere else coz that’s their duty to provide a good service to their client. In fact NORECO is the only electric cooperative of the entire Oriental. All we want as client is that “we get what we paid for”

    Indeed true,what we want is quality of service. People are paying for it they should deliver what is expected of them .Brown outs has been going on for ages ,not just months ago ,this carried on for many yrs ,decades without being fixed. People have got enough of it .If the aim of this city is to attract investors for the good ,the local and provincial government sector should rally strongly behind this cause for improvement, get funds from national treasury or do loans , otherwise the unstable electricity supply will in itself drive out prospective investors in this province,it will have knock on effect in the long term and is detrimental to the future of Dumaguete /Neg Or.
