⌛ not good but LOOOOOUUUUDDD !!!!

Yesterday I was in Dumaguete and went through the locations where there was live - music. There were (like always) great musicians playing, but after 2 years i miss "my" music... after a couple of more beers I was thinking about a funny Idea.
With so many more or less bored expats around here there must be the opportunity to make a good old rock n' roll band....
...2 guitars drums bass-guitar, maybe keyboard ...

3 chords, some cases of beer and a lot of fun. style from CCR over stones and ACDC to Deep Purple. Suzie Q, Johnny B. Good, smoke on the water, Paranoid ...

I know how to play 3 chords and drink some beer, who can help with the rest.

like I said old dirty stuff, not good but loud with a lot of fun...
meeting and practice once a week in the evening untill the police comes...

Well , Rhoody , I am sure you are surpised by me .. But here is some secret hobby of me displayed.. Both ( and two more ) will be in Negros after end of April.. Now still in lovely @#$%^Manila .Its not a keyboard but .. the same principal..

but everyone has to know how to play well or else you sound like Spinal Tap playing jazz fusion....

better to belt out Smoke on The Water , War Pigs or Sweet Child of Mine - all you need is a few chords, decent vocalist, and a big amp that goes up to 11 !

...in the fields the bodies burning... as the war machine keeps churning....

 

WCH, there are quite some locations with live-bands, Hayahay is the well known one, but you go throu town and find live music in many local Hangout's or also wednesdays in Why Noy.
so it's not so off-topic cause nightlife and entertainment...

Have available :
1) A dozen or so High End Electric Guitars ( from Solid Body up to 65 mm Semi Hollow) all brand new.
2) Sufficient Amplifiers ( over 1.000 W RMS) with full controls ( new)
3) Standard Drum set
4) 3 microphones with stands and music stands (new)
5) Electric Piano ( Fully equipped as keyboard.) New.

Practice space ( No aircon >> sweat it out) available>> Friendly policeman here lol.
Do play just over 3 chords myselves (Guitar)
Seems not that practical to transport Earlmj's " organs" (ooops) around !!

Started doing something with some local guys, but the idea of an " expat" band appeals to me. Running the 60th ( incl. Country) must be within the age-group ( hahah)
Lots of fun, having good times amongst eachother should be the main goal.
Have a bass player ( former PRO) who will join by coming september. He has it's own equipment alreaddy here.

Any out there, living in / near Dmgte Your invited !!! Just drop a line ( pm pls) Good vocal also needed. ( have available lyrics for 1.800 songs ( 60th)
