Does anyone have any comments on Coral Cay Resort?

I am looking to stay there for a few days in Nov.

How is the beach there? Cottages clean? Food good and inexpensive?

How far is it from Tubod where Dive Safari is located?

I was considering Coral Cay for our trip next year but I came across some not so good reviews on Tripadvisor, so now I'm looking elsewhere. It's going to be our first family trip to Dumaguete next year. Another place I'm looking at is Coco Grove Resort. I hope you find your place to stay soon!

    Thank Mom.

I read up on Tripadvisor too and you are right. A couple of negative posts there.
Now I am considering Kiwi Dive Resort.

Any one with comments on this one?

By the way, how is the diving on Siquijor? Kiwi is on the North East side of the island - do they take divers to all the dive sites around the island or are they likely to just stick to sites close to the resort?

    Kiwi Dive Resort

I suggest you send an e-mail to Kiwi Dive Resort and inquire directly with them. I did that to inquire about their room rates and they do answer, at least within a day or two. How about checking-out Apo Island Resort? Apo is a marine sanctuary and is high among the dive site rankings.

We stayed at Coco Grove for a couple of days and I guess it is the best resort I have ever seen in the Philipines, it is absolutly marvelous. Perfect to go with kids and they got a dive organizor on the resort. If you need some info on it let me know, it ain't cheap but perfect place to relax for a couple of days.

what part of cocogroove is not quality? I don't know the other resorts but I have been at CG and was impressed with the attention to detail. The banning of televisions and other noise was a relief as well.

The only aspect I thought was not 5 star, was the food where everybody is lyric about but like most resort kitchens I found a bit limited in choice.

    Fully agree with you Arie.
I have visited also both resorts (Coco Grove and Apo Island Resort).
It's not because I know the owners but's because I enjoyed both resorts very much.
At Coco Grove we had a fantastic evening with dancers and musicians.

yep thought the live performances where real nice, I don't know the owner but you sense that everything has been given a lot of tought and care.

Good safeheaven to be totally hassle free and relaxed for a couple of days.
