I understand you concern about the American sense of humor. It took a while for my sweety to catch on a bit. And that was only because she was in the states. I think you had best just behave, or perhaps some of the filipina wives that have spent time in the states can give her a crash course in the good ole American sense of humor.

Since I'm still in the states I can pickup the check and bring it when we move. That will save The Dude the airfare.

 

I know this sounds strange, but of all of the "adjustments" that Rudy and I have had to make, the "American humor" seems to be the hardest one for her. And second has to be my use of American slang words and phrases.
There are a few things she has learned. When someone asks her if I'm from the US, she now smiles and answers "no, he is from Texas".
Good girl.......that's why I love her so much.
