These are nice houses, Spanish architectural designs, with the exception of the contemporary one that's being in the process of completion. Thank you for posting these pics.
We've not purchased any land yet but our plan is to build a concrete version of this home. We are not looking to build a "mansion" or get our home into Architecture Digest. Our goals are: 1. Open floor plan 2. Flood resistance 3. Wind resistance 4. Passive cooling 5. Inexpensive to build and maintain (utilize local materials) 6. Ecologically friendly
House I would like to build This is the kind of design I am looking to build but, with some size modifications. This one pictured is 4500 sqm and I want something about 2500sqm. Probably won't cost much more than the houses I have been commenting on which have tons of concrete and stell roofing. Perhaps more glass but all in all major expense will be with the interior. I have also included some pics of a kitchen and master bedroom Vis vedlegget 1263 Vis vedlegget 1264 Vis vedlegget 1265
Very, very nice. But do you mean 250sqm, not 2500sqm? 2500sqm is about 20,000sqfeet. That's a palace fit for Imeda Marcos.
I meant 2500 square feet (250sqm). The house shown is 4500 square feet (450sqm). Thanks for straightening me up on that
How do you think that design will handle typhoons? I have serious reservations about flat-roof houses in high rainfall regions.
Water Issues with Flat Roof I will have a sloped roof with water pipes that will funnel the rain water back into either the underground well or into storage tanks for landscaping, car washing water issues. I Will leave that to the engineers who I hope will think of some use for the water.
How about the hot daytime sun? I think a large roof overhang would help shield against heating of the glass and walls.
