    Pinoy...

I am a big fan of Eskrima, and have done some work with it here in the States. Unfortunately, not at the level of the Phil. masters.

It is very brutal, especially, with little or no padding. My favorite weapon is the bo or long staff.

Every sunday at 6:30AM after the marathon clinic which we handle. Kids practice Arnis for free and at 3:00 PM Arnis lesson are also conducted in Candau-ay Elem School for the club's community service.

For those who want to enroll...you can find them at 90-A D. Miciano Road in a small Arnis-Muaythai GYM. They also have Muay Thai lessons.

For those who are interested you may visit them on sunday and look for Ike.

thanks, dgterunner. the name ike is very familiar to me. my husband has mentioned him many times over. i only learned from him yesterday that it's been going on for years. too bad we're in cebu now. but, if this thing's going to run in the next few years, i'd definitely enroll my kid. thanks again!

    Tommyboy,

There are two training sessions: 1. Quezon Park or at the Boulevard (in front of Bethel Guest House) for community expossure every sunday, 2. Dumaguete Arnis and Muaythai Associations gym at Dr. Miciano Road, Dumaguete City at 5pm to 8pm. look for ike xavier, he trains beginner and advance students.
