Hi All, just curious, my electricity bill in pampanga running one fridge (larger one) on 1Hp aircon at night, one computer and some energy saver lights is between P6K and P7K each month

How does that compare in Dumaguete. I understand that the Valencia residents get a rebate.

    Cheers

Yes, Valencia residents get P800 rebate per meter per month (we have 2 meters). We do not have or need AC but do have a lot of other electrical stuff, and often run welders, power tools, etc. Our total payout for electricity last year was around P3000.

We have 2 a/c almost running all day and night, 1 ref, 1 rice cooker, 1 flat iron, lights, electric water pump, and seldom used high pressure pump for washing the car. And paid 3900 pesos.

Medium fridge, computer running 24/4. T.V. parts of the day. A couple of fans, but no A.C. and we run at approx 1400 / month. That's a pretty good size bill, must be the A.C.

Saw a post on one of the sites about a SlingBox, could not help myself, ordered one from Amazon, it arrived yesterday and set it up today. Now happily watching my home cable service at work.

Will get nothing done now .. Guess I will not need cable TV in Dumaguete if I can get good internet  and can leave the box connected in Angeles

I dont think I should complain cause dude from pampnga needs this space for input more,,but my electric bill this month was 1147 php up from 780php last month which is down from 1350php in february when I used my AC all night for 20 days straight. I figured I could drop my bill by cutting out AC and did so last month I took extra measures like unplugging phone cherger, off th tv and fans when I leave the room and moderate the fridge thermostat. After going after every penny I could what did I miss to get my bill to go up from 780php to 1150php.I'm not poor and did pay it but when I put effort into pinching pennies I see the results, this is only time in my life it cost me 360php to try and save 100php and i never even saved in the first place???
