I'm american...and if anyone should feel like an "alien" it would be Kano...I felt so at ease in Dumaguete from day one. Not because of the Foreigner population there but more so the people and how I was received.

Davao was the same way but more of a big city feel...and that's ok. I just liked the small town feel of Dumaguete and left a lot of friends behind that i hope to see when I go back...

I guess I'm saying all that to say this...in my opinion...."Aliens" don't exist in Dumaguete. You'll understand when you get there.

You'd be amazed at what people fit in a tricycle or even on the back of a scooter with a couple passengers holding on to the cargo! Just kidding about a refridgerator (but only a little). Mostly I just wanted to welcome you to the forum and to tell you that I was so impressed with Dumaguete, the people, the universities (7 in all) that I have decided to move there. It will take me a while to work out the details but I have yet to find a nicer or friendlier place to settle. Good luck with your move and best wishes for your coming marriage.
