    Don,

thanks for the info. i thought that was meant to be the other way around friend..... but i am always hopeful and positive about the city progress and around negros.... for a 3rd generation of citizens i would like to be positive about it and make this city and this province better......

    KTM,

yes i know that safety has no sense in the locality but it might be well for the future... and for the people working in the dumaguete. it could be that this people could not understand what safety means but i urge the city government to make new policies and let people be aware and understand what safety means in our homes and in public spaces..........including construction either vertical or horizontal.....on the roads.....workers in offices or in any other area and it should be applicable to all to where people and machines are working and even in our home. men i know what we locals think but i think changes should be made for us. Safety is a very simple word yet it saves lives..... even myself......these is a challenge for dumaguete and elevate our standards. maybe not for the whole philippines but least we can start here.

    cheers!!!

The dust hasn't settled quite yet, but now it is by the spoon full instead of a dump truck full!

well personally and its only a very subjective impression but I have been impressed with the amount of effort put in to improving the road system of Dumaguete compared to the mess that is Cebu City.

The only bothersome dust on the south Hiway now is the dirt dragged in from the container parking area on the east side before the end of the Dgte city limits or if you get behind an overloaded truck.

Yes, road construction is still going on in downtown Dumaguete--I do not know if there is also the same problem in going to Dauin.

The roadworks on south highway are finished.
Going North the road between Capitol and Provincial hospital is under construction (some deviation)
Going further North to Tampi, the road is almost finish except some small strokes of 20 or 30 m, but mostly no traffic delays for that matter.
Downtown, Perdices street (Lee Plaza) is under construction.

    Safety!

So true that their is no such thing as progressing backward... He probably mean "Regressing Backward" which totally deteriorate/compromised the construction Safety Standards!

Progressing backward. Is that similar to the military maneuver called advancing to the rear?
