I have a feeling yabs is not really from Dumaguete...He is from another place just littering in our forum.

If it's possible, maybe Dane could provide an area of the forum that shows ...I don't know, maybe a red ball bouncing around and a stick. That would keep yabs busy for a few months and then he would forget about posting his odd remarks, but then we'd lose our comic relief too.

I guess this is the final, final design of Robinsons Mall Dumaguete

The text on the picture reads: Expected to be the next best thing to happen in Dumaguete, Robinsons Dumaguete mall promises to bring the ultimate shopping experience in the Visayan Region. Beautifully designed with a lot of retail offerings.

This is taken from the latest magazine of Robinsons malls.

    beautiful in whose eyes?
its completely out of keeping with the rest of the city
it would fit in a modern city like Dubai
but not an old quaint place like dumaguete

Old quaint??? Which part of Dumaguete are you talking about?  Granted that I've only been to duma once, but 90% of the buildings seen in town were all quite synthetic and imo are pretty ugly. If anything, Robinsons Mall will enhance the aesthetics of down town duma, provide jobs, and improve economics and standard of living for the locals.

    there are old buildings everywhere
ok we have started to get places like harrolds mansion
but all in all the architecture is some of the nicest in SEA

    Tenants of Robinson

I am most interested in who the tenants might be. I just hope there is a starbucks or Bo's so I can stop drinking the poison they serve in the rest of the city and have an enjoyable latte with foreign grown south american or african beans and real freakin milk. Anyone have this information thanks. I also hope they have a more sophisticated supermarket with better imported section then the crappy lee plaza one. If my 30 years experience in the Philippines has shown me anything, Robinson will be just a rehash of the same ol crap sold in various stores here. Manila is only now starting to get with the program and actually realizing there are foreigners here who like to eat more than just fish
