Pat, I remember Rick Ashley's first "Hit" but without cheating, ( looking them up)can anybody really name 8 singles he took to the chart's!
I also remember his attempt to make a comeback and the rumours surounding his sudden retirement from the Pop scene in the beginning.
His mentor was Pete Waterman who amazingly, although he had become a successful record producer and millionaire could not read or write till in his 30's,
that also is a rags to riches story in itself! regards...JB

JB, got one for you about your home town superstars. Where and when did the Beatles as a group perform their final live concert?

    Sorry JB!

:o In light of no response John, Pat! I believe their last Live concert, was at the Candytuft Stadium, San Francisco. Their actual last ever live performance, was on the roof of the Apple studio, this is of course, is in Saville Row, London, not a concert but a last ever, apperance as the united Beatles :(

I was just going to say that!
Actually I knew it was on a rooftop in London but couldn't remember the date.
But the last real concert was in Candlestick Park as Jack has stated August 29 1966.
"Those were the day's my friend, we thought they would never end" :D

Saville Row London on top of Apple HQ, sorry just looked it up Jan 30th 1969.

Good job Jack, you win two cans of Brasso!

I worked at Capitol Records when they were putting out the Apple label for the Beatles, good old days.
