    Chrissar,

I must say your name sounds like the Tsar of Russia. My mother named me James because our protestant neighbour's new born was named James and was handsome, mama was hoping the face might "contaminate" to mine.
You are right the grotto is in Ajong. I've seen that.
If you are in Newcastle, you must be a nurse, a doctor or a med tech.
Newcastle must be my target county. I've never been there yet. But I love the beer. The football club is good. Is it true that in Newcastle the ratio for girls is 1:10 to boys. No wonder they turned to football.
London is for foreigners. How on earth you survive in a very English county.

James, you got it right. T'SAR is my signature address to my nieces and nephews, short for Auntie Sarah.

Been here in England for almost 12 years. Funny you asked if I'm in the medical field grads but actually I'm an Accountant by profession and work as a Supervisor in an American retail company (well-known designer names). Married to a Brit who is a Financial Consultant of Lloyd's Tsb and our forseeable retirement year hopefully will be by next year, that if my hubby can get a package deal for early retirement (50 yo). But he is optimistic as he has been in the bank for over 34 years.

How long have you been here? Are all your fam here as well? Newcastle is a very nice city. It's not as crowded as in London. I really cannot tell you about the ratio among opposite sex but yes, the lads are football fanatic, and my husband is one of them.

I thought I am the only one bearing this JOSEPHEN spelling. Does Mrs. Josephine Ng really has her name spelled as JOSEPHEN?

    Just nice to know,
    Josephen

Ila-Ila kuno, ta bi, Bay James. You mean Mark? He happened to be my pag umangkon also. Judge Baquerigo's father (or was that his grandfather?) is my great grandfather's brother. It is too late to ask my grandfather about it..he died at the age of 106 (and I was then 7 or so).

It would be nice to have a Banguerigo reunion. What do you think, James?

    Regards,
    Josephen

    Josephen,

My cousin, Rowena, from Manila, married a Banquerigo, a judge. This judge used to be a councillor as well. He's a very good looking guy, I must admit. Well my cousin, Rowena, is mestiza kachilla. He's only 57 I think. Forgot the name of his son. But I'm really from Sibulan, poblacion that is, house right in front of the Sabolboro.
I left Sibulan after graduating from Silliman in 1972. I went straight to London in 1974. Hantod karon nidukot ug nagulang na sa pagserbe sa rayna dinhi.

Sorry but my name JOSEPHEN has nothing to do with Josephine and/or Napoleon and the like. My parents were much aware of the spelling during the registration.

And I am proud of it and never see it as a 'faulty' spelling,
    Josephen

    PS
I think we are talking about one person here - Judge Banquerigo. He's wife is indeed from Manila, and much younger than him. She is teaching at Magsaysay Elementary School.

Yeah, that's Rowena. Originally from Cebu. Went to Manila. Holiday in Sibulan. Got hook by a then lawyer. Terso Banquerigo. There house is a block away from ours. She is really teaching in Magsaysay. Her other sister is married to a Sibulanon as well. The Lirazan family, in Nillas Street. Rowena has only got 1 sister. It's amazing, they both grew up in Manila, yet when they holidayed in Sibulan, they got hooked-up.

Hello josephen; May I interrupt here, if I may. No, as far as I'm concerned her name spelled Josephine Ng. We are cousins ( second degree), both our grandmas (all deceased) were sisters, so I knew her pretty well. Have a nice day.
