SA just executed their plays better and built up a cushion. Then they just sat back and waited for England to play a more expansive game and take a few risks, but that never happened. England huffed and puffed and were committed, but lacked creativity.

BTW - for proof that it definitely was NOT a try, see this photo – it shows clearly that Tait had his foot in touch before he grounded the ball.

Note: in rugby the touchline is out of play!

But the Boks played well throughout the whole tournament. I wish they had played more open in the final and pasted England, but it looked like they didn't wanna take the risk. The prize was too valuable to drop by playing a nice style of play just for that one game and running the risk of losing, the same as Aus and France had.

Many soccer world and Euro cup finals are like that too - nil-nil bore draws that are decided on penalties.

Still, an all-mighty effort was made and of course I was over the moon!

    Hi Jimeve
Yes proud of the rugby - but unfortunately that is all. With all the crime, corruption and bad things happening in SA - i am too ashamed to say im proud. This is why im here on this site - trying to read about the life in the Philippines. I am looking for a simple - non complicated life - where i could retire without the day to day fear of being murdered/raped and mugged.
Reading and looking at the beautiful photos of the islands . . takes me out of this mess at least.
    Enjoy the island
