Thanks for checking Mr. Dane. Maybe that freighter that swung by your place will be the first...

There are a couple off Sipalay. Didn't take the time to dive them when I was there, but they are on the 'to do' list...as most definitely is Coron.

You'd love Coron. I stayed at Discovery Divers which is own by Gunther. He was the one who discovered all the wrecks. They're all amazing. I want to go back if time would permit me. Gunther also discovered a cavern. If you get lucky, he might just take you diving at Gunther's Cathedral. I think I have some pics of the Cathedral at my multiply site. The site is firealessandra.multiply.com look for the Coron album. There are few pics on the dives, you can ignore the rest. :o

I miss diving!!!!! I plan to dive before the year ends. Anyone else going diving?

Thanks Fire. Found Discovery Divers on the web. Fascinating place..I like the prices too. Also checked out your pictures..that Cathedral is too cool. I tried not to look at the others..but the mouse made me do it... I'll have to say a couple extra Hail Mary's now.....Appreciate the Coron info and all the best with your future diving!

No there are no real wrecks , only a banka at dauin at 26 meter but that is almost gone, some toyota's (cars )in the same area .
And in front of El Dorado also in Dauin they have sunck a small baot but nothing special about that.

Yes there are wrecks at Sipalay but the visability on the Japanes wreck close to the coast is not very good.
The 3 other ones are beter to see and not so deep.

Maybe you can get your own group together. I have a 28 foot speedboat which can carry up to 6 divers with tanks etc. This could be your bast option to go where and when you want, all for reasonable costs

Being nervous is nothing to worry about if you are going to make your first dive.
Those who are saying the opposite mostly show up later to be the less good divers.
You have already ONE advantage: the male divemaster/diveguide will be glad to hold your hand during the whole dive to give you a more relaxed feeling
