Suggestion Best Posts in Thread: Somewhere nice to stay in Dumaguete for a week (NOT TOURIST Orientated)

Typically, it's only you and your family, but there are places to rent rooms. For example, someone buys a condo in Cebu, but they aren't retired yet and only visit Cebu on occasion. They rent their place out so they are making money when they are not there. It's much better than a hotel in general, because they are place that you can live. Have kitchens, cooking utensils, etc. It's more like a home.

 

I have heard that from others about the Florentina Homes. They don't respond to emails. Not sure why, but that's life here. One friend refused to stay there because they did not respond to his email. It was his loss. Perhaps try contacting them on their Facebook page? Thats life in Philippines. Facebook or texting.

 

I should keep it a secret.... but the top-rated Philippine holiday accommodation is right here near Dumaguete City... it is called 'The Wilson's Shangri-La' ... the owners and staff are ACE+, the service is ACE+, the food is ACE+, the peace is ACE+ .... what other places get 9.9/10 on Booking.com? There is no pool but it is on the beach (a bit stony but with the right gear it should be fine, I assume). Go via Booking.com or phone them on 0915-823-4382 (I am not related to them or benefit from this recommendation in any way; I just think quality should be rewarded by telling others) . Even if you stay only one night you will not regret it.
