I wonder, is there any difference being stabbed or raped by anyone who is from Dumaguete or from another island ? And how can we recognise the bad guys (or girls, for me in the case of stabbing only) ?
As far as now, I do not have any experience with these things, fortunately.

I would never walk like that alone at that time. That's asking for trouble. There are a lot of bad people at that time looking for victims. So be very careful.

They usually go out at night and in places without lights and with less people. It pays to have one's own vehicle so you don't encounter such elements.

Rule number 1 - when faced with an attacker with a knife or ang=y sharp/pointed object...Run...If cornered...pick something thats longer than the knife and swing away...be careful though not to loose your balance...

Best thing to do is - avoid any situation that calls out trouble...

    Making a night run ???

I had lots of training in my life. The one thing I remember is a stupid soldier is a dead soldier. That is a fact that will never change. Apel was a lucky man that day I really hoped he learned from his stupidity. Running around at night isn’t the smartest thing you can do in any country. If he had done that in bay area he would not alive.

not all dead soldiers are stupid...soldiers are aware that they put their lives at stake..i would never desecrate the memory of dead soldiers..even those of the enemy..even if they were labeled stupid...that is a harsh judgment...oh but there are stupid drivers too...stupid teachers too..stupid students too...the list is endless...

    I don't know but...

My Drill Sargent said it at least a thousand times. I really don't think it had anything to do with desecrating the memory of dead soldiers. But I guess you are a sensitive kind of guy. So I apologize if I have offended you in some sort of off handed way. Simpli fi
