Lighten up here, folks!! So many posters are "begging" for a new restaurant or a new bar; now one is mentioned, and people go crazy commenting on possible "underlying intentions" of such notification?

If you're interested in it, then go; if you're not, then don't.... very simple!

Yes, it is appropriate and welcome to notify us of a new venue, even if you are the owner. Especially in that location. Just across the street, the Time Out restobar tragically changed hands earlier this year from ex-pat to filipino. It attracted a bad crowd and there was a murder in the upstairs KTV. But shilling is pretending to write an objective review when one has a financial interest in the place. A shill review can usually be recognized because it is entirely positive, with no qualifications or reservations.

 

I understand what you are saying, and yes, that can sometimes be the case. Regardless, we have notice of a new bar.
