So far, it appears the stock market has leveled out a bit although it will probably continue to be volatile for a while longer. The FOMC will be making some kind of statement Wednesday which will likely cause some movement.
Beyond the stock market the thing that bothers me the most is the housing recession. Not that the prices are adjusting but the reports coming out about loans being made that should never have been. This sort of unrestrained and predatory lending should not go unpunished. It would be nice to get to the bottom of this or at least get some increased protections in place.

 

What a complete load of crap. Carter and Brzezinsk are responsible for creating these radical Islamic regimes. It was a their deliberate policy. They wanted a strong religious force that would appeal to young people in the southern regions around the Soviet Union to counter the appeal that Communism had. They thought that that kind of religious zeal would spill over into the Soviet Union and cause turmoil.




It caused turmoil alright.

 

The Left's obsession with railing against oil companies never cease. They never face up to grown up issues. Modern civilization runs on oil and other fossil fuels, like it or not.

It is not only appropriate but responsible for our leaders to secure our oil supplies, for the sake of having secured our oil supplies and no other reason, because our civilization depends on it. But the petulant Leftists can only have a temper-tantrum screaming "no blood for oil".
