    Things I miss:
    Starbucks (twice a day)
    Randalls
    Krogers
    Sam's Club
    Home Depot
    Wal-Mart
    Fast Food places (every corner)
    Texas bar-b-que
    Sunday cook-outs on the grill
    Sunday afternoon watching NASCAR
    Margaritas - frozen
    Margaritas - on the rocks
    Tex-Mex food - Taco Cabana
    Jalapino peppers
    Fry's Electronics
    Being 5 minutes from anything
    More than one TV channel
    Driving 80 mph
    24 lane wide Freeways
    Always having a handgun on me

    Things I don't miss:
    Working
    Driving to/from work (65 miles)
    Rush hour traffic
    Standing in long check-out lines
    Living in a city with 7 million people
    Airplanes always flying over me
    Muddy water at Galveston beach
    Being cold in the Winter (40F)
    Being hot in the Summer (105F)
    Obama and his band of criminals
    Politicians lies and spins
    Road rage/obsene jestures

    Things I have here that I could never have anywhere else:
    Rudy Mae
    Peacefulness
    Happiness
    A good nights sleep
    Waking up happy
    Sunsets over the Pacific
    Crystal clear water
    Perfect all year temperature
    Closeness of family
    A much longer life

    I think what finally matters is the quality of life and it's meaningfullness which we miss by living in big crowded cities!Good that u have them there. Enjoy!

    I will always love the US and Texas.
    There you have a "life".
    Here you have a "quality of life"
    There is a big difference.
    The Philippines will always be home to me now.

    There is an expression that is said by both Marines and Texans....."there is no such thing as an "ex"".
    I am now a "former Texan" (and a former Marine).
