I'll get one of the big boxes from LBC we have one in Sacramento. and pack it with a feather pillow, (very costly here) some good sheets, some box mixes, like lipton onion soup mix, a few electronics, and some clothes.
Im reserving my suitcase for food like Cheese, last time I brought back 10 lbs. a 3 lb brick of tillimok chedder, 3# of swiss, 3 #s of monteray jack and a lb of american slices.
also some hot links. got to watch the weight though.

Good luck on your travels and welcome to the board.

    tortilla press

Can't make tortillas without the Masa Harina...not available here, you will need to bring some!! Traditionally, flour tortillas are not made with a press, they are hand-rolled and flattened by hand or with a rolling pin. The presses are meant only for the corn tortillas, although I am sure some folks use them for the flour tortillas.

I'm a real Mexican food lover, I have been making flour tortillas by hand for burritos and other dishes that don't require Masa, but it's such a pain in the @ss. I was watching a cooking show filmed in Mexico where they showed how to use a press. It looks so much easier I want to try it. Now all I have to do is find a press.
