Notice the Chain Mail suit ?

Hello DI`ers , Very nice photo . Black reef shark , talaga ??? The diver is fully covered in chain mail , so ... still brave but not stupid . On Discovery Ch . recently I saw a bloke in South Africa push away 14 ft Great Whites via the sharks "nose " ( man was on a boat ... shark was chummed ) ... with bare hand . Very big teeth , don`t slip sir  . Kevin

    Tickling a shark

Hi Folks just watched the Documentary "THE SHARKMAN" on TV here in UK
    from which the Photograph originates.
Really amazing (not forgetting the brave Cameramen too).
the Guy in the photograph at the end of the film swims with a Great White without that protective suit!!
Watch out for the programme if it has not come your way already.
    regards john boy.

I hav'nt seen the documentary, but if the picture shows the average lengths of the GREAT WHITE sharks around that sharkman, than I have to say that these are very small sharks.
I won't copy what the guy is doing there, but I have had a number of sharks in my hands as well .....knowing that they were not dangerous at all.
My divingclub members called me a dare-devil (which I'm not !) but it's a matter of knowing the creatures.
Also seasnakes .......like Rhoody stated already.......seen a lot of them, filmed them and followed them through the water.
Never any problem... even not any attack movement.

    Great White

    Sorry for any misunderstanding Jellyfish
You are correct about the Photograph and the size of Shark
However it was at a different location, coast of South Africa (I think) at the end of the progamme that he swims and touches the nose of a Great White.Infact he was surrounded by about six of them at one point (must be mad!)
    regards JB
