I will explore Dumaguete-Bacolod this coming summer. Can you give informatin to the following conerns of mine:

    A. I'm alone and want to experience the Whale and Dolphin Watching.
Can you give me idea of full pricing normally arrange by tour agency.
As traveller, I am concern with reasonable budget.

    B. After days of staying at Dumaguete I will be heading to Bacolod.
I am planning to leave Dumaguete around 5 or 6 in the early evening going
Bacolod...are there aircon buses leaving on that time? What is the regular
travel time between Dumaguete and Bacolod...is there any Van vehicle and
    the like travellng to Bacolod.

    My appreciation and thanks.

Ceres Liners runs a regular bus trip to Bacolod. The earliest leaves Dumaguete at 2:30 Am and the last one I think leaves at around 7 PM.
The cost is about 250 pesos one way and it will take 5 till 6 hours.
Mind you, there is a lot of roadwork still going on, so it is not a fast drive.
Buses also do stop twice at least for 15 minutes each.
Not all buses to Bacolod are aircon. Only a few, but it is wise to take a aircon bus for reasons of more sitting place (less people take this bus because it is a fraction more expensive !)
I don't know if also (public) vans do go that way on a regular base.
From Dumaguete you need to go early (5 - 6 AM) to Bais for Dolphin watching in the good season. You could even take a Ceres Liner to either Bacolod or San Carlos (they stop in Bais).
If you go via a travel office I can't give you the budget you need.
The price for the boat for you depends on how many people are on the boat.
There is a fixed price for the boat to the dolphins and the sand bank, so you pay a lot if you are with only 5 people and a bit when being with 15.

Btw.... welcome on this forum !

My husband, daughter, and I did the whale and dolphin watching in Bais and it cost us $60 USD for the boat and 3 guides for the day. I didn't think that was terrible. And, the guides know how to call the dolphins and whales. They also took us to the white sand bar where they anchored the boat and we had lunch and played in the ocean while they took their siestas!! It was a great day!! Have fun!!
