RHB, I have the we roam for my lap top but, it is not as fast as my cell phone. Texting, email, all on cell phones. I remember having to wait for the dial up to get back into place before you could dial the next number. I remember beepers were the big 'high tech item!' I dont even want to talk about 8 track! hehehe!

    reply:

sure, giv me 4m i giv you lot n treasure.

no more txt followed. the above is a real sample.

The cell has been helping me with many errands including the establishment of certain this and that or to help some friends. But I do get a fair share of bogus lottery winnings which I don't really try to claim.

Is it true that many have already won just by texting a receipt number for purchased items more than 10 thousand php to a certain number out there? has anyone won on the forum yet? Heh.

Or is this another scam? I have also received an email saying I just got a visa for the US. But I already have that Thank God so I can attend educational and leadership conferences in the US.

Life can be spicy but life is good! Hope you feel the same way:D

earth quake warning for 6 pm... a few weeks ago

    this week:
"don't txt or use cell phone after 11 pm tonight. the satellites are down"??? "or what" i ask, shoulders shrug and "I don't know" is uttered.
And the young filipinas in my family believe all this stuff.

    techinesses

Just a word --techninesses--to mean the technologies we, or I should speak for myself, that I use. Not savvy but yes, the computer and the cell. But I still do not use online banking. I'm sure I can learn to do it if someone is patient with my tech slownesses. But there seems to be something out there, unknown yet intuitively scary for me because it is beyond my control and that is, that someone will be able to access my [anyway] meager account. The humiliation of being discovered how meager it really is is secondary. The probable fact that another entity can access it and play with it other than myself is so scary to me.

    How safe is online banking?

Here's something else that I got from the "invisible person" with e-mail address saying I am case number DV 196 BKK 2008 Asia Pacific The Official UNIAIR/US VISA Lottery Program
US Department of State, National Visa Center, 32 Rochester Avenue Portsmouth

Because I was granted a US VISA recently [hehehe, bogus of course] now I am granted a free ticket to fly to my supposedly A__________ Dreamland.

    Indeed!
