⌛ USGS:Quake-negros philippines

So i posted this thread on the 5.1 quake few days ago and now today i see at the same spot listed by USGS a bigger one at 6.4 off the coast of negros same spot off shore of bayawan....Plus a few after shocks......The habitual spots around the world are not one big quake followed by aftershocks, but an explosion of quakes escalating in magnitude as in the 1st quake on location is not the biggest but usually the 3rd or 4th then followed by a aftershocks (non-escalating mag. quakes) Check the quake history for mindanao moro gulf and mindoro gulf and off shore Samar to get a feel of what negros can do in the future such as 8.quakes.....I will be back soon,and back to my mountain home...Maybe beach front home value will um????

 

I wonder if Mt Talinis is any taller..?

Good thing, according to forecast scenario, should there be a tsunami Dumaguete all the way to Dauin is shielded as it will radiate towards the seas and going southward to Zamboanga Peninsula. But good thing, there was no tsunami warning, and no report of damages/casualties so far.

 

that is all spreading false panic, there was no tsunami forecast ever (attached forecast of the estimated killer-tsunami of 0cm to 30 cm in the open ocean)

With all respect, if you stand at the south highway in Bacong and 4 sugar cane-trucks passing with 50 km/h the ground shakes more than that thing this morning.

 

I think it was a little more than that. I know I walked a very unsteady path trying to get to my granddaughter's bed. But no harm done and it didn't even wake her up.

 

hmmm seems I am just not sensitive enough, or I have enough training walking on unsteady paths (at 4am on the way home after a night out). Maybe Batinguel is on better soil, none of my pack woke up and I could not find any waves in my coffee. The only thing I experienced here was that 1 second "power-thingy" but no shaking, seasickness and wobbly grounds, sorry.

I was diving 5 years ago in an earthquake, which was a interesting experience. At that time 2 bottles felt of a rack in the resort bar. That was the biggest damage I experienced here.

Anyway rumors have it that the main cause for the "intense" experience in Dumaguete-north and Sibulan was that Guenther felt of his birthday-cow during his morning-ride and caused an additional Epicenter

A nurse at SUMC said Dgte had a quake 3 yrs ago that registered 7.x leaving a few cracks in the hospital.

 

no insult ment, but please can you do us a favor and stop talking some you might have or might have not heard somewhere from people who really know ?
