Just wanted to say that my wife (who is from Dumaguete) just got her welcome letter from USCIS today. It simply states that her application for permanent residence has been approved, and her green card will arrive in a few weeks.

Phew! What a process this has been. Actually, not so bad in retrospect. Just lots of waiting...and waiting

Congrats Kuya. My wife is from Australia, so we have experienced the same. It was a bit expensive, but obviously worth every cent. I told her if we had to do it again, I'd just hire a coyote and sneak her over the border. Okay, maybe not such a good idea. Anyway, I appreciate what you had to go through and wish you 2 the best.

Thank you all for the comments. If one day we decide to settle back in the Philippines that process should seem like a ride in the park compared to this one
