    West Balabag Valencia...info?

beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing .We will be coming to negros in August,we have some offer of lands from dauin, bacong and valencia, of course we are more very "CAREFUL"this time we will only buy a land that has a clean title (we got our lessons).....Acquiantance of my wife told me, that there are thousands hectares of land in valencia, that the govt. destribute to the locals...Is there anybody knows about it? What are this lands? Is this what they called LAND REFORM?

We have walked up there following banica river then up following the ravine going to casaroro. We must have passed by this track in marky's photos. It was a nice walk, there was no Forest camp though , or Tejeros swimming pool that time ,it was all vegetations, and was beautiful, quiet. We didn't reach Casaroro, because there was a smaller water falls far below casaroro that we find it difficult to climb our way up coz it was very slippery. It was also late in the afternoon, and going back it will be dark for us .So we decided to climb up the other side for way out, following a very faint track ,was very steep climb, and you only have to hang or hold on some vines, and branches of bushes and small trees,it was real scary .Mosquitos were like millions hovering your head taking turns to a get sip of your red juice. When we reached the top, seem to be in middle of nowhere, but that was our guess now the area of Mampas ,it was like jungle. We find our way to some clearing by following faint tracks leading downhill, and find ourselves in the bacong side.Chat with few locals and made our way back to valencia town nearly 6:30 it was dark. It would be more worryng being caught by darkness pitch black below the ravines far down casaroro with no torch and the only way out was following same track back. That was our first and the last.
