YES the ceres from cebu does NOT USE THE LI-LIOAN RO-RO, (they are building there own ferry on the tampi side close to san jose , but not finished yet

if coming from cebu and you dont fancy going to bato- tampi ( you can go to li-loan and get either the maayo ro-ro or the fast ferry which both go to sibulan both ports in li-loan are 5 minutes from each other

if you want the fast ferry at li-loan and tickets are all sold or you have to wait for an hour for the next one, you can walk to the maayo li-loan ferry or some one will take you on tricycle for 10-20 pesos, and your on your way

pay no attention to the ceres timetable, if the so called 11.am bus is not full the driver will wait as he gets commission on every ticket sold , thats why they stop everywhere and try to cram in as many as he can (hes not picking up passengers for the sake of it, hes on commission along with the conductor)

As things worked out, by friend managed to catch the 4PM Ceres to Liloan port and even with the heavy Friday night traffic they got to the barge/ferry by 8:45 and managed to cross over on the 9 PM boat. She was in Sibulan by 9:40 ish. Its a bit iffy though. Taking that 4PM bus means if there is any major road delay she would have been waiting at Liloan port until the 10:30 barge.

But as they say, all's well that ends well and thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences.

I took the last Maayo ferry at 10:30 pm. The bus from Cebu City ended its run at the ferry landing and did not cross. Not sure of the exact sailing time because I boarded the ferry and went to sleep.
