I kind of assume when I buy something here in the Philippines.
The saying BUYER BE WARE, is most appropriate.
I still would like to buy about a 50-60 watt solar panel just to keep my internet going in brownouts. I would like it at a fare price and expect to get 10 years out of it.. Where is the best place to buy one that is manufactured to good standards where I shouldn't be having problems? I have everything but the solar panel...
    Thanks in advance...

A good installation will cost you between 400.000 and 500.000 pesos.
40 % of this amount goes to the battery's that will last about 7 years.
For most people a generator will be a better option.

What is a "good installation"?

A solar system is only "good" if it does what the purchaser intends it to do for the amount of money he intended on paying. A 4-500,000p system is inadequate in my opinion unless one only needs a very limited amount of electricity.

We're headed into a 'Save the Earth' rant here so I'll put my 2 pesos in first:

I want solar as much as anyone, so I can avoid paying inflated prices for my power consumption but bear this in mind....:

Pinatubo put more C02 into the atmosphere in the 1991 & 1992 eruptions than man managed to do since we discovered fire! Since then we've had plenty more and still have a number of active volcanoes, churning out C02 by the megatonne. Global warming is a con designed to take our eyes off the world's real problems, promulgated by Al Gore to make millions of soon to be worthless dollars from billions who are convinced he's right... Anybody else think we need carbon rationing? just like we needed 'Windows' or our computers wouldn't work right...! Bill Gates got obscenely rich the same way and Windows is 25 years old today just to rub it in.

    Please don't be sheep, people....

I would like to reply to those with direct inquiry. I have an upcoming project in Davao to an american guy of about 3KW Home Solar System, The cost is about 18,000,00 USD all in from major components to wires , cables, brackets and supports. It is not my intention to offend anyone here especially jellyfish who at the start had unlikely smile about my thread. I thank you to those who sincerely welcome me and I expect them to shoot a valid solar questions and inquiry. Good day to everyone.

    18,000 USD = 794,000 pesos.
    40 % goes in battery's or 317,000 pesos (assume battery's are included)
    Battery's last 7 years (317,000 : 7) = 45,000 pesos/year only for the battery's
After 4 years the battery's are to weak to run an aircon on it.
    Is this a good investment?

Great! How long is the warranty on the panels, controller, inverter, wiring, labor, and the batteries, and through whom would the customer go for the warranty?

How many panels and how many watts each? What D.C. voltage is the system?
How many batteries and of what capacity, if there are any batteries?

Maybe with a Philippine made battery, but not with two American made ones I know of!
