Found what seems to be a great deal on motorcycle rentals for visitors here.

I was driving from Robinsons Mall toward town on the road that will take you MacDonalds. Just before crossing the bridge is a place that rents motorcycles. I have seen the sign many times. Today was a sign that said: Promo - Rent a motorcycle for 6 hrs for only 150 pesos.

That is a good deal. If I remember correctly the 24 hour rate was just 300 and we all know that signs in the Philippines can be out and out lies but it would still be worth a look if you want to rent a motor for a short time.

sntmig, what you need is a product called C.L.R. but I don't know if it is available in Duma

This image is from Ace Hardware's web site so it is possible that you can find it in a store like that

Another thing hard to find is a bathtub in a rental house

    View attachment 10329

I got tired of rental houses with no bathtub so I went to Prince Welding Shop near the Airport and asked them to make this up for me. Now they know how to do it they may adjust the price but I paid 4,800 all in for it. Maybe if enough are interested then let Larry know and he might be able to get them to buy advertising here.

WOW! GF just showed me what she uses. She buys this in Unitop for only 45 pesos. Its called UNIFRESH Tiles and Bowl Cleaner w/ Disinfectant. It claims to remove Rust, Lime scale, and hard water stain and she says it works great. For 45 pesos you could give it a try and let us know what you think. The bottle looks like one of them toilet cleaner bottles but she says she uses it on the tiles too

At "Cang's" in Daro, they have upstairs on the entry into the sporting goods section, "Trickle/Maintenance 6/12 Volts Chargers", one is small for indoor use (800+PhP) and the other is a all weather heavy outdoor model (1400+PhP), complete with all wires, looked like good products made in ROC...

For the British taste, in Cangs (Daro) right now, Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney pies, big ones, cook in the tin, puff pastry top. There were 24 but now 14 left !!!! Also Fray Bentos chicken pie, and beef and veg pie, both cook in the tin with puff pastry on top.
Also on the shelves, a small supply of HP brown sauce, Heinz baked beans, Bisto gravy, Smedleys mushy peas, and Sainsburys tinned Jersey potatoes, plus some jars of Colemans mint jelly and Colemans Bramley apple sauce.
