Korean nabbed for fraud under BI custody

THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested a Korean national wanted for alleged fraud in South Korea.

A police report said intelligence operatives of BI’s Fugitive Search Unit apprehended Kim Cheon Syb, 48, a resident of Infante Subdivision, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Wednesday.

The Korean national is wanted in South Korea for fraud, the police said.

BI now has custody of the suspect Kim, who also goes by the alias, Omalin Sin Hotha.

Kim was apprehended by virtue of mission order No. JHM-2018-079, issued under Executive Order No. 287 by BI commissioner Jaime Morente, the police report said.

The Dumaguete Police said the Korean national is subject to deportation. (PNA)
